DIY: Transform button up to cute gathered top

In this tutorial I share the steps of how to recreate one of my recent obsessions - a thrift flipped mens button up tee transformed into a cute gathered top with drawstring features!! It's such an easy and straight forward process which is perfect to add to DIY lists of all sewing skills levels.

Another versatile and stylish me-made, upcycled essential to add into my wardrobe!

 
 
 
 
 
 

The Essentials:

  • An oversized button up shirt (at least 1-2 times larger than your normal size)

  • Matching thread & bobbin

  • Fabric chalk

  • Fabric Scissors

  • General pins & safety pin

  • Measuring tape

  • Sewing Machine
