DIY: Cute Shirred Blouse
In this tutorial I take you through the steps of how I transformed a hand-me-down tablecloth into a beautiful and dainty blouse. It features an optional shirred finish and high neck with tie detail. Such a cute go-to for any wardrobe and ideal for any level of sewing skills!
The Essentials:
Material
Matching thread & bobbin
Shirring thread & bobbin
Reference shirt
Fabric chalk
Fabric Scissors
General pins & safety pin
Measuring tape
Small paint brush (or something long and thin)
Sewing Machine
Suggested Fabric Amount Required:
Size Extra Small = 0.5m (off the roll)
Size Small = 0.75m (off the roll)
Size Medium = 1m (off the roll)
Size Large = 1.25m (off the roll)
Size Extra Large = 1.5m (off the roll)
(add or take 0.25 metres for anything larger or smaller than these sizes)
