DIY: Jumpsuit or Co-Ord Set

I’ve been dreaming up this garment for quite a while now and am so happy with how it’s turned out! It’s a co-ord set that has the versatility to be styled separately otherwise worn together where it looks like a jumpsuit.

It's a super cute wardrobe essential that features a shirred/smocked tube top section with puffy sleeves and gathered, high waisted shorts. I'm obsessed with this piece and hope you like it too!

Put aside at least a day or two to make this full set/jumpsuit as it can take a bit of time depending on your skillset :)

 
 
 
 

The Essentials:


  • A lightweight material (suggested amount below)

  • Elastic for waistband and arms (suggested amount below)

  • Matching thread & bobbin

  • Shirring thread & bobbin

  • Fabric Chalk

  • Scissors

  • General pins & safety pin

  • Measuring tape

  • Pair of pants to trace

  • Sewing Machine

Suggested Fabric Amount Required:
Size Extra Small = 2m (off the roll)
Size Small = 2.5m (off the roll)
Size Medium = 3m (off the roll)
Size Large = 3.5m (off the roll)
Size Extra Large = 3.5m (off the roll)
(add or take 0.5 metres for anything larger or smaller than these sizes)

X + Y = Suggested Elastic Amount
X: Your waist measurement plus 3 inches
Y: Very loose measurement of upper arm circumference x 2
