DIY: Button Up Skirt
Welcome to the versatile dream that is this button up skirt! Such an easy number to tailor to your style by adjusting to mini, midi or maxi length. Then style away!
The Essentials:
Material (nothing too stiff)
Matching thread & bobbin
Fabric Chalk
Scissors
General pins & safety pin
Measuring tape
Shirt to trace
Sewing Machine
Suggested Fabric Amount Required (based off midi style):
Size Extra Small = 1m (off the roll)
Size Small = 1.25m (off the roll)
Size Medium = 1.5m (off the roll)
Size Large = 1.75m (off the roll)
Size Extra Large = 2m (off the roll)
(add or take 0.5 metres for anything larger or smaller than these sizes)

Steps
STEP 01: Find panel measurements
STEP 02: Cut fabric to size
STEP 03: Mark out & sew darts
STEP 04: Hem Edges (and make any other necessary adjustments)
STEP 05: Add buttonholes and buttons
Key Measurements
PANELS
Width = your widest point
Length/Height = waist to bottom hem measurement
DARTS
Widest point minus your waist measurement = x
x divided by 2 = y
y divide by 2 = your dart measurement on the fold!
DART PLACEMENTS
1/2 the full panel width, then divide that by 3 = placement of first dart measurement
Then measure half your waist distance across for the next dart point.
